Elizabeth Schmidt has worked in the communications field for nearly two decades, focusing on politics, international policy, health care, and children's issues.

In her consulting work, she has managed several national issue advocacy campaigns, corporate marketing initiatives, and branding projects. Her specialty is industry and association communications.

Elizabeth spent ten years in the Reagan and Bush Administrations, working in the White House as a Research Assistant in Presidential Speechwriting, as a Policy Analyst for the National Security Council, and as Director of Communications for the United States Surgeon General.

Elizabeth also worked as a writer for the American Medical Association, and for Wenner Media serving for five years as Executive Director of a non-profit educational campaign.

In her government work, Elizabeth received a U.S. Surgeon General's Exemplary Service Award, the Department of Health and Human Services Award for outstanding service, and several civil service awards while at the White House. Her public education work was awarded a Clio, a New York Film Festival outstanding public service commendation, and an endorsement by the Ad Council.

She serves on the boards of several non-profit, professional, and community organizations, and was a member of the management team for several business launches, including film and television productions, publications and retail operations.
